What's New in 2022
BJE is shifting to a brand new SRE and Extension Curriculum. The new curriculum is aligned with the NESA stages and the Jewish Journey to ensure we build students’ knowledge of Jewish rituals and belief, history, ethics and identity.
The socialisation of BJE’s vision through our Jewish Journey Pillars, which is to provide high quality, enriching formal and informal Jewish Learning for all Jewish children in NSW who attend non-Jewish Day schools.
This year, BJE is introducing the Nesiah Year 10 Israel program, an opportunity of a life time to spend 5 weeks on an educational experience with other Jewish youth learning about Israel and their Jewish heritage.
BJE will be offering the Natif Bar/Bat Mitzvah Program. This will be a BJE Jewish Journey Coming-of-Age Program, that is ‘an alternate to’ or ‘in addition to’ traditional shul-based Bat or Bar Mitzvah.
BJE will be collaborating with the Sydney Jewish Museum to enrich HSC students enrolled in a Studies of Religion Syllabus.
Online Hebrew will be available for those who cannot make it to a campus that holds lessons or who would simply prefer to learn from the comfort of their own home.
