Breakout Retreat Camp is an annual two-night sleepover camp exclusively for Year 6 students.
The camp connects pre-teens from across Primary Schools before they transition into High School.
At camp, students form new friendships and bond over the next new, exciting chapter in their school lives. Programs at camp keep students active and engaged, and include sports activities, fun games, and other bonding experiences.
Breakout Retreat Camp is run during the October school holidays in partnership with Maccabi NSW.
The camp location varies from year to year and for security reasons is disclosed a week before camp to registered participants only. The camp is usually held within a 2 hour drive of Sydney.
Yes, there will always be someone in attendance who is first-aid certified to assist in medical-related issues and emergencies.
BJE provides kosher meals, snacks and drinks to everyone taking part in Breakout Retreat.
BJE arranges a private coach to take all students to and from Breakout Retreat camp. They are picked up from (and dropped back to) an agreed pick-up point, one in the Eastern Suburbs, and one on the North Shore. BJE Madrichim (youth leaders) are also on the coach and supervise the students.
