Lunch Club

A relaxed weekly catch-up for Jewish high schoolers—right at school, during recess or lunch. Lunch Club is a casual, weekly meet-up that brings Jewish students together at school to connect, recharge, enjoy meaningful conversation and snacks!

What is Lunch Club?

Lunch Club runs at select high schools across Sydney and changes depending on parent and community interest. Providing Jewish students a chance to connect with one another and our friendly BJE mentors—all during the lunch or recess break.

There’s no pressure, no homework and no lectures. Just a chilled space to drop in, chat, meet new people and have some fun during your school day.

Each session is different, but you can expect:

🍎 Snacks and something sweet

🎲 Games, quizzes and group activities

🗣️ Great chats and good company

🧍‍♀️ A chance to meet our ShinShinim and other BJE mentors

Where Does It Run?

Lunch Club runs during free time at participating high schools.
If we’re not at your school yet, express your interest.
We’re always happy to start new groups where there’s demand.

A Familiar Face At School

Our team—including ShinShinim and experienced educators—creates a warm open environment where every student feels seen, supported and empowered.

We offer a familiar, safe and welcoming face that students can turn to for all questions and concerns, particularly if they experience any Jewish-related issues at school. Through positive relationships with public schools, we support Jewish students’ diversity and help protect the religious freedoms of every student.
