Social Journey

BJE’s Social Journey is designed for all primary school students to build strong friendship networks, connect to their Jewish identities and establish a sense of belonging to the broader community. We provide opportunities for cultivating these connections through our activities and after school programs.

In School Programs

Social Journey 1

Each term, our Youth Engagement Team  facilitate fun, experiential activities relating to key Jewish themes and principles. The activities allow students to interact with one another and create social connections in a classroom environment.

Jewish Celebrations

Social Journey 2

Throughout the year, BJE runs a variety of fun, informal events to celebrate Jewish festivals. These events are held on Sundays to enable students to come together from different schools. Festivals include Purim, Pesach (Passover), Chanukah, Rosh Hashanah, Shavuot, Yom Haatzmaut and many others.

Year 6 Shabbaton

Social Journey 3

BJE runs a 2-night Shabbaton for Year 6 students to mark the transition from Primary school into High School. During the Shabbaton, students engage in interactive programs with themes of Jewish culture, community and coming of age. Students also develop a stronger sense of pride in their Jewish heritage and identity.
