Dear BJE Parents & Carers,
As Term 2 wraps up, we’re proud to reflect on a term of meaningful progress and connection across our programs and community.
Our Youth Engagement team has grown, bringing fresh energy and ideas to our work with students. The ShinShinim have continued to make a meaningful impact, and we’re looking forward to welcoming the next pair, Yahli and Yarden, in August to keep the momentum going. As we prepare to farewell Shalev and Yoav, we’re deeply grateful for their energy and dedication. From unforgettable high school evenings to the ruach they brought to our camps, their impact will be long remembered.
The Nesiah Israel Program is gaining momentum, with strong student engagement and preparations well underway. Our HUBs have been buzzing with activity, especially during our Lag B’Omer and Shavuot celebrations, which brought families together in joyful, meaningful ways.
We’ve strengthened partnerships with PJ Library, Montefiore Home, and COA, and expanded our digital outreach to better connect with families and supporters. This term, I’ve had the pleasure of visiting several schools alongside our Head of Jewish Life, Ronnen Grauman. These visits have deepened our relationships with students, teachers, and principals, and reaffirmed the importance of our presence in NSW public schools.
We’re also proud of our continued commitment to the Child Safe Standards, ensuring every child feels safe, supported, and valued in our programs.
As we look ahead to Term 3, we’d love to welcome your child into one of our programs. Let’s keep growing, learning, and celebrating Jewish life—together.
We also hold in our hearts the people of Israel. We pray for peace, for the safe return of all hostages, and for a time when all may visit Israel freely and safely.
