1-4 AUGUST FOR YEAR 7-12 STUDENTS
One of our biggest events of the year is “Weekend Escape” camp – an amazing four day camp that provides high school students with an unbelievable experience while learning and growing in an inclusive Jewish environment. Weekend Escape is an absolute highlight of the BJE year and allows students to escape from the hustle, bustle and grind of school to a fun and exciting environment filled with water fights, hiking, activities, meeting cool new people and more!
Weekend Escape has been designed to create an exciting and fun informal learning environment in which students develop as individuals while engaging with their Jewish culture, heritage and community. It is also a great opportunity for students to meet and develop friendships with others from across a broad range of the Jewish community, setting up valuable social and educational networks in the process.
Interested in coming along? Here’s what to do:
Please make sure you have the following information before you register for camp:
- Student’s personal details.
- Parents’/Guardians’ contact details.
- Student’s emergency details – specifically Medicare details, health fund details (if applicable), and details of their GP.
- Details of any medical condition or dietary needs of which we should be aware (includes medication).
The cost of Weekend Escape is $300.00 which MUST be paid before camp starts. You won’t be allowed to attend if you have not paid.
Please ensure Parents/Guardians sign and submit BOTH an Indemnity Form AND a Code of Conduct form for any student attending. We suggest you download these forms now and the completed forms can then be uploaded during the online registration process.
Please note that students will NOT be allowed to attend Weekend Escape unless BOTH these completed forms are received before camp starts. The deadline for registering and submitting forms is Thursday 18 July 2019.
For security reasons, the camp location cannot be disclosed at this time. Once registered, you will receive all specific details relating to the camp.
The downloaded Indemnity Form and Code of Conduct will have with them the Packing List which will tell you what to bring (and not bring) to camp.
