Youth Engagement Officer

This role will suit a young, dynamic person who has a passion to inspire, motivate, and link Jewish teenagers with their Judaism, and can promote student engagement. Commitment is 2-3 days a week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage a cohort of teens at non-Jewish schools in Years 9-11
  • Design and implement  Jewish programs focusing on social engagement and informal education
  • Be a Jewish mentor to participating students, keeping students connected to each other and the wider Jewish community
  • Participation in BJE’s Year 10 Israel Program, as well as its preparatory stages


  • Have a WWCC or ability to obtain one
  • Minimum 2 years leadership experience in a youth movement or similar role
  • Experience in organising and running camps
  • Be committed to BJE’s values and ethos, the Jewish community, and the State of Israel
